English: Miki's caption is as follows. During his visit to Japan in the spring of 1954, I received a telegram from "LIFE" requesting coverage of the Indochina War. While telling him that, I advised that "it is dangerous because it is indistinguishable between the enemy and the ally in the battle of the same race." But he left and I snapped him the day before. A few days later he fell into a land mine on the front line.
