Kanguroszczurnik[4] (Bettongia) – rodzaj ssaka z rodziny kanguroszczurowatych (Potoroidae).

Rodzaj obejmuje gatunki występujące w Australii[5][6][7].

Długość ciała (bez ogona) 28–43,2 cm, długość ogona 20,7–36 cm; masa ciała 0,68–2,3 kg[6][8].

Etymologia[edytuj | edytuj kod]
- Bettongia (Betongia): ang. bettong „kanguroszczur”, od aborygeńskiego badang „kangur”[9].
- Bettongiops: rodzaj Bettongia J.E. Gray, 1837 (kangoroszczurnik); gr. ωψ ōps, ωπος ōpos „wygląd”[10]. Gatunek typowy: Hypsiprymnus lesueur Quoy & Gaimard, 1824.

Do rodzaju należą następujące występujące współcześnie i wymarłe w czasach historycznych gatunki[11][8][12][5][4]:
- Bettongia pusilla McNamara, 1997 – kanguroszczurnik mały – takson wymarły[13]
- Bettongia anhydra Finlayson, 1967 – takson wymarły[14]
- Bettongia lesueur (Quoy & Gaimard, 1824) – kanguroszczurnik ryjący
- Bettongia gaimardi (Desmarest, 1822) – kanguroszczurnik tasmański
- Bettongia penicillata J.E. Gray, 1837 – kanguroszczurnik pędzloogonowy
- Bettongia tropica Wakefield, 1967 – kanguroszczurnik tropikalny
